England levelled their World Cup 2026 quarter-final against Norway in Miami on the stroke of half-time thanks to talisman Jude Bellingham.
Bellingham expertly fired home his fifth goal of the World Cup after Anthony Gordon’s ball into his feet, cancelling out the bizarre effort that had put the Scandinavian side ahead.
After a fairly quiet opening 35 minutes, Norway went in front when Andreas Schjelderup mishit a cross from the left and it flew into the top corner of Jordan Pickford’s net via the post. England were furiously appealing for a foul on Harry Kane during the build-up but switched off and were punished.
England reached the quarter-final stage byfending off co-hosts Mexico on enemy soil in one of their all-time great World Cup performances last time out and are now battling Erling Haaland and co. to reach a semi-final against Argentina or Switzerland.
