Enzo Maresca Makes Surprising Confession About PSG’s Effect on Chelsea | OneFootball

PSG have been a dominant team in 2025, especially against Premier League clubs, having defeated Manchester City in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League, then proceeding to eliminate Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal.

This week, they would pull a comeback win in penalties against Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Super Cup. However, the only English team that gave PSG troubles in 2025 was Chelsea, defeating the Parisians in the FIFA Club World Cup final.

Despite pulling one over the Ligue 1 side, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca could watch several PSG matches from this past season or even this campaign.

While speaking to Sky Sports, Maresca revealed that for him, PSG are the best team currently in Europe and so he plans to study them to translate what has made Luis Enrique and his team successful over to the Blues as they look to win the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup and Champions League this season.

“Last season, I think we did quite well,” Maresca said. “But it’s not enough. You need to improve. There were teams ahead of us for different reasons. I said before we played PSG that for me, they are the best team in the world. And I still think the same. And so it’s also good to look at them, try to learn things, analyze them and continue to improve.”
