Eray Comert joins Torino on deal to 2028 after Valencia exit | OneFootball

Eray Cömert has completed a move to Serie A side Torino, the Swiss centre-back joining one month after his Valencia contract expired and following the 2026 World Cup with Switzerland.

The club said in a statement that he has signed until 30 June 2028.

Cömert came through Basel’s academy and made his first-team debut on 7 May 2016, a 3-2 away win at Zurich. He played 140 games, scoring seven goals with four assists, and helped win the Swiss title in 2016 and 2017 plus the Swiss Cup in 2017 and 2019.

He also had spells at Lugano in the second half of 2016-17 and at Sion in 2017-18. He moved to Valencia in January 2022, then spent 2023-24 at Nantes with 27 appearances and two goals, before a season at Real Valladolid with 28 outings, returning to Valencia last term for a club total of 55 games, three goals and one assist.

At international level he has 23 Switzerland caps, featuring at the 2022 and 2026 World Cups.
