Eric Bailly joins Columbus Crew on deal to June 2027 with options | OneFootball

Former Marseille defender Eric Bailly has joined Columbus Crew in MLS.

The club said in a statement that the free agent, most recently with Real Oviedo in Spain, has a contract guaranteed until June 2027, with club options for 2027-2028 and 2028-2029. He will take an international roster slot, and registration will be completed once his International Transfer Certificate and P-1 visa are received.

The Ivory Coast international, with 49 caps and two goals, spent 2022-2023 on loan at Marseille.

After leaving Marseille in 2023 following a season-long loan from Manchester United, Bailly had spells at Besiktas in 2023-2024, Villarreal in 2024-2025 and Real Oviedo in 2025-2026.

It is his first move to the United States, and the deal was announced on Friday.
