Debate centred on how many Bodö/Glimt players would be picked after their Champions League run to the last 16, where Sporting beat them 3-0 and 0-5. Three make it, full-back Fredrik Björkan, 27, midfielder Patrick Berg, 28, and winger Jens Petter Hauge, 26.

Defender Odin Björtuft, 27, is not selected. Goalkeeper Nikita Haïkin, 30, who is of Israeli origin and a British citizen, misses out because FIFA has not validated his nationality change.

The goalkeepers are Örjan Nyland, Egil Selvik and Sander Tangvik. Midfield options include Sander Berge, Fredrik Aursnes, Kristian Thorstvedt, Antonio Nusa, Oscar Bobb, Andreas Schjelderup, Thelo Aasgaard and Morten Thorsby. Jörgen Strand Larsen is the additional forward option.
