Norwegian has one sole focus as sharp end of run-in fast approaching
Erling Haaland has fired a warning shot at Arsenal after Manchester City routed Brentford to move within two points of the Premier League leaders.
The title race is set to go down to the wire, with City continuing to pile the pressure on the Gunners, who could restore their five-point advantage atop the table if they beat relegation-threatened West Ham on Sunday.
But after producing a decisive performance in the 3-0 defeat of Brentford, scoring one of City’s goals and assisting another, Haaland has laid down the gauntlet for Arsenal.
Asked to lift the lid on City’s mentality in the title race, the talismanic Norwegian striker said he and his team-mates only have one thing on their minds.
“If you play for Manchester City, you think of titles every single day,” Haaland told Sky Sports.
He continued, adding that he was yet to consider the prospect of facing Crystal Palace midweek, insisting City are taking the title race one game at a time.
“I haven't thought of any other game. Just tired playing this game.

“How we approach the next game is not think of any other games for two days and then try to win the next game. Recover. Then next game and the same again.”
Haaland’s goal against Brentford took his tally to 26 on the season. he is odds on to win the Golden Boot and has been for some time, with his tally well clear of Igor Thiago’s of 22.
The City striker is not resting on his laurels, though, and insists he can continue improving.
“It's alright,” he said of his goalscoring output. “It's been an up-and-down season.
“I am trying to do my job and 26 goals is more than last year. So it's OK.
“It feels good to win 3-0. We just missed the last shot on goal today. We created a lot of chances and didn't get the last shot on a lot of crosses.
“Brentford defended well. They are a good team. There are no easy games in the Premier League. So we are happy.”
