Manchester City currently have a host of players out of action due to injury. One of those is their top scorer, Erling Haaland. Haaland suffered an ankle injury during City’s 2-1 FA Cup quarter-final win over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. It did appear that the Norwegian international was set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines. That may still be the case but Haaland is on the comeback trail based on a recent social media post from City’s number-nine.
Erling Haaland has shared a video on his official Instagram account of him slowly working his way back from injury. The clip Haaland shared can be seen below courtesy of CityXtra’s official X account.
It is positive news to see Erling Haaland working his way back from injury. Manchester City do need his presence on the pitch. Haaland creates space for his teammates and, of course, is the biggest goal threat in Pep Guardiola’s squad. The hope is that he can return to the pitch sooner rather than later.
But it isn’t expected that Haaland will return to the pitch this weekend against Everton. It was expected that he would face between 5-7 weeks out due to the injury he sustained against Bournemouth. That timeline may still be in play. But it is good news, if nothing else, to see Haaland working his way back from injury.
