Espanyol captain names the Real Madrid player he would ‘exclude’ from clash | OneFootball

Espanyol star Javi Puado has named the one Real Madrid player whom he would ideally rule out of contention to feature in the upcoming meeting between the sides.

The player in question? Kylian Mbappé.

Frontman Mbappé is for his part of course in the midst of nothing short of a spectacular spell of form at present.

Stretching back to the final weeks of last season, the Frenchman has rediscovered some of his very best form, looking near unstoppable in the final third.

This run includes a direct hand in all four of Real Madrid’s goals across the club’s last two fixtures.

Asked which Blancos star he would opt to ‘exclude’ from his side’s showdown with Xabi Alonso’s troops this weekend, Espanyol captain Javi Puado, in turn, did not hesitate in explaining to Mundo Deportivo:

“Mbappé. He’s also so on fire, he never stops scoring goals, and I’ve always loved him. I’ve always watched him and I’ve really liked him. I like playing against him, but in the end, what I want is to win. And if he’s not there, all the better.”
