Espanyol star in the sights of rival La Liga clubs | OneFootball

Espanyol star Rubén Sánchez is a man in-demand heading into the summer transfer window.

This comes amid confirmation that a whole host of clubs across Spain and the rest of Europe are considering offers for the versatile full-back.

Sánchez has for his part long seen his future in Barcelona thrown up in the air.

The 25-year-old’s contract terms are due to expire in the summer of 2027, with talks over a renewal yet to bear any kind of fruit.

In the knowledge that they could lose him for nothing in 12 months’ time, Espanyol have therefore been tipped to allow Sánchez to depart over the coming months, to secure some form of return.

And as alluded to above, should this prove to be the case, the Spaniard will not be at all short on suitors…

As per a report from transfer insider Matteo Moretto:

‘LaLiga teams, including Elche, Championship sides like Charlton Athletic, and Serie A clubs are keeping tabs on the situation of Rubén Sánchez from Espanyol, whose contract expires in 2027.’
