Lewis Ferguson is expected to return to the Bologna XI for a Europa League match against Aston Villa this evening, while Jonathan Rowe will likely start for the first time in a Rossoblu shirt.

The Rossoblu are without the injured Tommaso Pobega, Ciro Immobile and Nicolò Casale, while Lorenzo De Silvestri, Benjamin Dominguez and Ibrahim Sulemana are not part of their UEFA list.

Coach Vincenzo Italiano will likely pick Remo Freuler and Ferguson in the middle of the park with the Scotland international returning to the starting XI after making a substitute appearance in the latest Serie A game against Genoa.

Sky Sport and Gazzetta claim that English winger Rowe is expected to start for the first time for Bologna, while Santiago Castro is favourite over Thijs Dallinga.

Circa 750 Bologna fans have travelled to Villa Park.

Amadou Onana, Youri Tielemans and Ross Barkley are unavailable for Aston Villa.
