According to ExpressAndStar.com, teams at home and abroad are showing interest in signing Wolves star Mateus Mane this summer.

The 18-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough in the second half of last season under Rob Edwards, scoring three first team goals. Edwards has since been sacked, with Cesar Peixoto set to take charge before a rebuild for a Championship campaign that was expected to include Mane.

Premier League side Newcastle have a long-standing interest and are considering a move this summer, while Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt are monitoring and could act. Several leading clubs have asked about his availability, and Juventus have shown strong interest, though their finances are unclear.

It has been suggested that at least £30million would be needed to tempt Wolves, although it remains to be seen whether that figure shifts after relegation and the change of head coach. Even so, the club are understood to be very keen to keep Mane for the Championship as they aim for an immediate return.

Mane started 14 consecutive Premier League matches, beginning with an eye catching full debut at Anfield in December. He then scored in back-to-back games against West Ham and Everton, drawing global attention for his performances.

A dip followed, but he finished strongly in the final home game, a draw with Fulham. Since the season ended he has been training in Portugal to stay in top shape.
