Tyrique George has left Chelsea to complete a move to fellow Premier League club Everton.
George spent the second half of last season on loan at Everton and has now made the move permanent.
He joined Chelsea as an under-8, progressing all the way through the age groups before making 37 appearances for the first team.
The deal is believed to be worth around £24m.
“There is a lot more to come from me and with the manager, the coaches and my teammates, I know I’m in a great place to show it,” the 20-year-old said after signing for Everton.
“Everton is an environment that demands hard work from everyone, and I will give everything.
“To be in for the start of pre-season is something I was keen on. Now I’m really excited to get going again.”
Everton have also confirmed the permanent signing of Merlin Röhl from Bundesliga club SC Freiburg, following his initial loan spell last season.
The midfielder made 16 Premier League appearances for the club last season but had his campaign disrupted by injury.
The Toffees remain keen on further adding to their squad this summer, having also already brought in midfielder Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough.
West Ham duo Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jarrod Bowen are among the targets for boss David Moyes to strengthen at the back and up top.
