Everton considering a move for Strasbourg’s Guéla Doué | OneFootball

Everton have identified Guéla Doué (23) from Strasbourg as a potential transfer target as they look to bolster their options at right back during the summer transfer window, according to a report from The Athletic. The French-born defender has just returned from international duty at the FIFA World Cup whilst representing Côte d’Ivoire. 

Doué is one of many targets that the Toffees are considering making a move for. Tottenham’s Djed Spence and Arsenal’s Ben White are also on their shortlist as David Moyes seems intent on improving his options on the right side of the Everton defence. 

Doué likely to be too expensive for Everton

Despite the Premier League club’s interest in the 23-year-old, a move this summer looks unlikely.  Strasbourg are set to command a high fee for the defender, and this makes a move untenable for the Merseyside outfit if they are unable to reach an agreement with the Ligue 1 club.
