Douglas Luiz was signed by Juventus for big money and with big hope last summer. It was a €50m deal including two talented Juventus youngsters Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea going the other way. In the Premier League with Aston Villa, he had established himself as a top quality and well rounded midfield engine. However all that has fallen flat at Juventus. With a continuous spate of injuries and lack of form, Douglas Luiz found himself in the fringes of the Juventus project with Thiago Motta and now completely on the sidelines under Igor Tudor. But in spite of that, his reputation in England is still seemingly astute.
