Everton are considering a move for Atalanta wing-back Raoul Bellanova, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
The Toffees are in the market for a right-back and have the 26-year-old Italian on their shortlist of targets.
Bellanova is thought to be surplus to requirements at his current club, opening a chance for him to join Everton.
The Everton target has caught the eye in Serie A even though he endured a subdued 2025/26 season.
In 24 appearances, he scored once and created three big chances (this number was in double figures in the two previous campaigns: 12 & 10, respectively).
He also won a remarkable 67% of his ground duels while getting dribbled past only 0.3 times per game. He is a progressive and energetic wing-back.
Bellanova can provide the spark that Everton are missing down that right flank.
Seamus Coleman has left the Merseyside outfit and Nathan Patterson continues to fail to convince.
Toffees boss David Moyes will want a specialist there after playing natural centre-back Jake O’Brien at right-back for most of last season.
However, Everton should be careful not to settle for Bellanova simply because he is available.
While he has shown flashes of quality in Serie A, his recent campaign was hardly convincing enough to justify making him the club’s first-choice target.
If the Toffees are serious about pushing up the Premier League table, they should be aiming for a higher calibre of right-back.
Guela Doue has the athleticism, defensive reliability and long-term upside to become a cornerstone of the squad.
Meanwhile, Ben White, another who has been linked with a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, would bring proven Premier League quality, versatility and experience.
Everton should also explore a two-year loan for Chelsea’s centre-back/right-back Josh Acheampong, who is a gem.
The highly rated youngster has enormous potential and could provide the pace, technical quality and attacking drive Moyes needs without committing significant funds.
