Everton ‘to consider’ Wolves goalkeeper, Aston Villa ‘to eye’ Dutch midfielder | OneFootball

Everton have been linked with Wolves goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, while Aston Villa are among the clubs monitoring Teun Koopmeiners.

Calciomercato claims Villa and Manchester United are interested in the Netherlands midfielder, who could cost about £25.66 million, and that Juventus could consider a loan with an option to buy.

Everton are first seeking regular first-team football for their number two, Mark Travers, and his wages are said to be a stumbling block.

Johnstone underwent shoulder surgery late last season and has not featured in pre-season. He is expected to return to training within the next fortnight.

The 33-year-old joined Wolves on a four-year deal in August 2024 and made 17 appearances in all competitions last term.

Koopmeiners played 45 times for Juventus last season, scoring twice and providing one assist. The 28-year-old has 32 Netherlands caps and featured four times at the 2026 World Cup.
