Everton are reportedly working on a deal to bring Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish back to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Grealish spent last season on loan with the Toffees, impressing before injury struck.
The England international is not in manager Enzo Maresca’s plans, having been left out of their squad for pre-season.
Grealish is keen on returning to Everton, but no agreement has been reached between the two clubs.
The 30-year-old is also on the radar of clubs in the Saudi Pro League, including Al-Hilal.
Everton opted not to take up the £50 million buy option in his loan deal but would entertain another temporary move. City would prefer a permanent deal.
He is into the last year of his contract and wants to remain in England.
Grealish made 20 appearances for the Toffees last term, weighing in with six goals and two assists.
Everton manager David Moyes was gutted after they missed out on European football last term, and things could have been different had Grealish not been injured.
The attacker will fancy his chances of impressing again at Everton, and securing another loan deal could work in the favour of both parties.
The Toffees have added Hayden Hackney to their ranks while Tyrique George and Merlin Rohl have joined on permanent deals after last term’s loan spells.
