Erling Haaland’s inevitable introduction to the Premier League’s ‘100 club’ was confirmed this week as the Manchester City striker reached a century of goals in the division.
Haaland hit his 100th Premier League goal during City’s 5-4 win at Fulham on Tuesday night, becoming the fastest footballer ever to achieve the feat.
The Norwegian has taken just 111 games to reach 100 goals, surpassing the previous 124-game record held by Alan Shearer.
Having now reached a century, Haaland will have his sights set on climbing the all-time ranks and closing in on Shearer’s all-time goal record.
He’s the 35th player to have scored 100 goals in the Premier League and the first footballer from Norway to have done so.
Of the previous 34 players to reach 100 goals in the division, just two – Mohamed Salah and Raheem Sterling – are still both active and playing in England’s top flight.
