Italy have missed the World Cup for a third tournament in a row, yet Serie A will still be well represented, with 66 players heading to USA, Mexico and Canada this summer.

The finals run from June 11 to July 19. Gazzetta suggests that Milan supply the most, 10 players, while Lazio, Lecce and newly promoted Monza have no representatives.

Reigning Serie A champions Inter send seven, among them Lautaro Martínez, the 2025-26 league top scorer, who will defend his status as world champion with Argentina.

Juventus are represented by Bremer, Kenan Yildiz of Türkiye and Weston McKennie of USA, among others. Milan’s contingent includes Mike Maignan, Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic.

Elsewhere, leading figures feature for Atalanta, Bologna, Cagliari, Como, Fiorentina, Frosinone, Genoa, Napoli, Parma, Roma, Sassuolo, Torino, Udinese and Venezia. Inter’s Hakan Calhanoglu also travels with Türkiye.

Italy’s absence was sealed in March after a play-off final defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina on penalties. Serie A followers will still have plenty to watch when the tournament starts.
