FLW takes a look at those who are heading for the Bramall Lane exit door in a few months time
Sheffield United have been handed a big boost ahead of what looks set to be a crucial summer transfer window.
Dutch midfielder Jairo Riedewald is very likely to remain at Bramall Lane after Blades opted to trigger the extra-year clause in his deal, as reported by The Star's Danny Hall.
That decision comes alongside Monday's confirmation that fellow midfielder Tom Davies will leave United at the end of the season, in what has been an injury-hit three-year stay.
With two contract updates in quick succession, attention naturally turns to the rest of the squad, and particularly to those out of contract or due to return to parent clubs.
FLW takes a look at the other players that are - or very likely to - going to join Davies in leaving South Yorkshire at the end of this season.

You could say that Kalvin Phillips’ short spell with Sheffield United has been eventful for all the wrong reasons so far.
Receiving a red card in the Steel City derby and then getting an injury means the Manchester City man has barely featured since arriving on loan late in the winter window.
Despite that, Chris Wilder has publicly admitted that he would like to bring the former Leeds United man back next season, telling BBC Radio Sheffield that United would “love to be an option” for Phillips, his agent and City if a deal became possible.
But with nothing concrete in place, Phillips is due to return to the Etihad at the end of his loan.

Chiedozie Ogbene’s season-long loan from Ipswich Town has never really caught fire, with a hamstring setback following his earlier Achilles injury severely disrupting his ability to make an impact.
With two years still left on his Portman Road deal this summer and no suggestion of a permanent Sheffield United move being viable, everything points towards Ogbene heading back to Suffolk once his loan expires.

Ki-Jana Hoever was added to Wilder’s squad in January to provide much-needed depth on the right-hand side, joining Sheffield United on loan from Wolves until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old arrived with solid Championship and Ligue 1 experience from previous spells at Stoke City and Auxerre, but has only started four times.

Similar to Hoever, Norwegian left-back Leo Hjelde has yet to see much league action for the Blades, with just one start and limited minutes off the bench to his name so far.
Blades' official announcement made clear that the 22-year-old’s switch is a straight loan until the end of the campaign, and it was seemingly only done to cover Sam McCallum’s injury.

After a more than rocky start, New Zeland international Tyler Bindon has established himself as a useful option in Wilder’s back line - and both player and manager have spoken positively about his time with the club and the possibility of a return.
Reports via The Star have outlined Wilder’s willingness to "openly" discuss extending Bindon’s stay, while the defender himself has admitted he feels "very much at home" in South Yorkshire.
Even so, his current agreement is only a season-long loan from Nottingham Forest, where he is under contract until 2028, so he is technically due back at the City Ground at the end of the campaign unless United can strike a permanent or renewed temporary deal.

Danny Ings arrived at Bramall Lane last summer with a point to prove after his release from West Ham, signing a one-year contract with an option for a further 12 months following a short training spell.
With the club already confirming Riedewald’s extension, while at the same time announcing that Tom Davies will depart, Ings is one whose future is yet to be clarified.
He has largely been used as a bit-part figure under Wilder, as well as only scoring twice.

Soumare’s situation is slightly different to the rest of the loan group, with Sheffield United having agreed a season-long deal with Braga that included a mandatory purchase clause if they would’ve won promotion back to the Premier League.
Reports from Portuguese outlet Record indicated that United paid around €1.1m as a loan fee and would’ve been obliged to pay close to €8.5 million if they went up this season.
It would certainly be a huge surprise to see that obligation activated in the current circumstances.

36-year-old Ben Mee was brought in to add experience and leadership at the back, signing a one-year contract with the option of an extension - like Ings - after a successful trial period following his exit from Brentford.
However, he has not featured since late January because of injury despite talk in February that he was "knocking on the door" of a return. If you were to compare both Ings and Mee, the former looks more likely to have his optional extension activated.

Because of Michael Cooper’s injury, goalkeeper Adam Davies has played more games for Blades this season than in any of his previous campaigns with the club.
