Barcelona beat Lyon 4-0 in the Women’s Champions League final on Saturday, Ewa Pajor scoring twice and supplying an assist. Ada Hegerberg struggled to make an impact.
According to L'Équipe, Caroline Graham Hansen overcame pre-match doubts to start, troubling Selma Bacha and delivering a cross that Putellas failed to convert on 11 minutes. Cata Coll saved a Renard header at 14, then a Renard-Endler mix-up gifted Pajor a lobbed chance that drifted off target at 18. Hegerberg spurned a Brand cross at 24, Pajor missed again at 35, and a studs-first challenge on Dumornay might have earned a yellow at 39.
Coll clawed away Bacha’s free-kick at 41. After the break Graham Hansen shot wide at 48, and Coll denied Hegerberg one-on-one, the flag already up, at 49. Pajor then beat Endler for the opener on 55.
Coll blocked Becho at 61, and Graham Hansen made way for Pina at 62. Paralluelo set up Pajor for 2-0 on 69, before Coll foiled Chawinga at 75.
Paralluelo struck in the 90th minute and again at 90+3, the second created by Pajor, to seal it. Barcelona converted four of their five efforts on target, while Hegerberg battled but, closely watched by Mapi Leon and Paredes, could not take her chances.
