Ewen Jaouen has signed a one-year extension at Stade de Reims, keeping the France Under-21 goalkeeper at the club until 2029, according to L'Équipe.
The 20-year-old joined Reims in 2023. He spent two months on loan at Rodez at the end of the season in 2024, then a year with Dunkerque in 2024-2025, establishing himself in Ligue 2 and earning Under-21 selection.
This season he has established himself as first choice for Reims and has 15 clean sheets, three short of Edouard Mendy’s record of 18.
Like the Senegal goalkeeper, Jaouen continues a Reims tradition of producing standout keepers, among them Johny Placide, Johann Carrasso, Nicolas Lemaître, Predrag Rajkovic and Yehvann Diouf.
The new contract does not point to a long-term future at Reims. Jaouen is being closely followed in France, and especially abroad.
