Former Corinthians goalkeeper Caíque França saw his Campinas home destroyed by fire on Saturday 25 July. The player said in a post that the blaze began accidentally in a neighbour’s property, that no one was hurt, and that medals, trophies, photos and childhood DVDs kept at the house were lost.

Now with Guarani, he played on Monday 27 in a 3-1 win over Inter de Limeira in Série C.

On Tuesday he shared images of the wreckage on social media.

Guarani also posted a message of support on their channels to the goalkeeper and his family.

França won the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior in 2015, then debuted for Corinthians in 2016, coming on in the ninth round against Botafogo after Cássio felt ill, helping a 3-1 victory in Tite’s farewell. He made 15 senior appearances between 2016 and 2019 with 10 wins, one draw and four defeats, and was part of the 2017 Paulista and Brasileirão title squads. He later had loans at Oeste, left in 2021, played for Ponte Preta in 2022-2023 and Sport in 2024-2025, before joining Guarani at the start of 2026 for the Paulista and Série C.
