New coach Cristian Chivu enjoyed a dream Serie A debut as Inter thrashed Torino 5-0 on home turf.

However, Udinese stunned San Siro into silence, claiming an unexpected 2-1 victory on matchday two.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri headed into the international break under pressure, with Juventus and Napoli already ahead of them.

Indeed, these are uncertain times for the Inter faithful.

Chivu has a point to prove, as he looks to steady the ship and bounce back from a mixed start.

Yet, the task ahead is nothing short of Herculean.

There’s hardly a more challenging fixture than an away clash against arch-rivals Juventus.

Furthermore, the Turin giants will take the field in high spirits after winning their first two league games without conceding.

Beating Juventus could see Inter regain confidence and momentum.

Moreover, it could set the tone for the rest of the season, signaling that the Nerazzurri are ready to challenge for the Scudetto.

However, any slip-up might deepen the pressure on Chivu and his squad early in the season.

“If Inter lose, they’ll have to assess the situation because it would be two consecutive defeats and a mini-crisis could start,” Di Gennaro said.

“But we’re only at the beginning.”

Meanwhile, he also delivered his verdict on Dusan Vlahovic.

Despite emerging as a potential target for Inter in the summer, the Serb has remained in Turin.

Furthermore, he found the net in both league outings before the international break.

Therefore, he may dislodge Jonathan David from the starting line-up on Saturday.

“I don’t think he’s bad, but in recent years his technical level has declined,” Di Gennaro added.

“He needs to get the right mindset, because he’s also shown attitudes I didn’t like.

“Someone earning €12 million a year is expected to score 20-25 goals a season, right?”
