Daniele Adani feels that it’s a “lie” to say that the Inter Milan squad is not at a high enough level this season.

The former Inter defender gave his thoughts on the Viva el Futbol podcast, via FCInterNews. He argued that the Nerazzurri squad has “twenty starting quality players” but look “tired and distracted.”

Inter Milan have hit a major road bump in their season over the last week.

Following the massive high of a Champions League quarterfinal triumph over Bayern Munich, Inter have lost two matches in a row.

First, Inter fell to a bitter late defeat away to Bologna in Serie A.

Then, the Nerazzurri exited the Coppa Italia following a humiliating 0-3 loss at the hands of city rivals AC Milan.

Adani: “Lie To Say Inter Milan Squad Isn’t At A High Enough Level”

Inter Milan certainly cannot win a Treble after going out of the Coppa Italia.

However, beyond that, the Nerazzurri still have the opportunity to win the Serie A title, the Champions League title, or both.

Meanwhile, there is also the Club World Cup for Inter to fight for at the end of the campaign.

However, there have been some grumblings that Inter don’t have a deep enough squad.

But in the view of former Inter defender Daniele Adani, “to say that Inter don’t have a deep squad or one of a high enough level is a lie.”

“We shouldn’t just judge based on this loss,” the former defender argued.

“In this country, it’s too easy to get carried away with the moment.”

Adani went on to argue that “Inter have a squad with twenty starting-quality player.”

“We said that in October. And we still can’t just stop saying it in April after two losses in a row.”

Adani argued that “we can’t just reduce the analysis of it to trophies.”

“Inter, with the squad they have, have been able to go deep in all the competitions they’re in.”

However, Adani gave the view that “Inter are tired, sloppy, and distracted.”

“Look at the goals they’ve conceded in the last minutes of matches.”

“These things then affect the results. But the fact that they’re able to play against other giants in Europe is not something that should be underestimated.”
