Marko Pjaca is keen to help his Dinamo Zagreb clubmate, Petar Sucic, settle in at Inter Milan ahead of his impending move to San Siro.
Speaking to Croatian news outlet 24Sata via FCInterNews, Pjaca admitted he’s trying to prepare Sucic for the upcoming challenges.
Petar Sucic will join Inter in the summer after the Nerazzurri agreed his transfer toward the end of the January transfer window.
However, the Italians let the 21-year-old stay in Zagreb on loan for the rest of the season.
Indeed, Sucic had struggled with a knee injury at the start of the calendar year.
Therefore, Simone Inzaghi thought it would be in the player’s best interest to stay in his homeland.
But the talented midfielder will join his new teammates in June.
Swapping the Croatian Football League for Serie A is a quantum leap, something Pjaca knows all too well.
Pjaca left Zagreb to link up with Juventus in 2016, but his career in Turin never took off.
As such, he’s eager to help Sucic avoid his mistakes.
“[Marko] Rog and I talk to him a lot, we joke about his move to Italy’ he said.
“He knows that we are here to help him at any time and that he has our full support.

“I was once a foreigner in Italy, so I know what it means to find yourself in a new environment.
“It’s not easy for a young player to adapt.
“You have to do it as quickly as possible, understanding the club’s mentality and stature.”
Pjaca was under contract at Juventus until 2023 before returning to Croatia with Rijeka.
After only one year at the Rujevica Stadion, he rejoined his beloved Dinamo last summer.
