Ex-Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe to face trial accused of assault

Former Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe is to face trial accused of assaulting a woman, having pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The case will be heard at Croydon Magistrates' Court.
According to Sunderland Echo, the 30-year-old entered his plea on Friday during a 13-minute hearing and was released on conditional bail. The trial is listed for 14 July.
The alleged offence took place in Lambeth, south London, on 14 December.
He was arrested at Luton Airport on 30 January and charged last month.
Ibe, of Chislehurst, Bromley, south-east London, joined Liverpool in 2012 and made 58 first-team appearances before spells with Derby County, Birmingham City and AFC Bournemouth. He featured 92 times for Bournemouth between 2016 and 2020.
The former England under-21 international now plays for Lokomotiv Sofia in the Bulgarian First League, the country's top tier. He had spent the previous two years in non-league football before moving to the Bulgarian capital in November 2025.
