Ex-Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe to face trial over alleged assault | OneFootball

Ex-Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe will stand trial accused of assaulting a woman after denying a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The alleged incident took place in Lambeth, south London, on 14 December. The Metropolitan Police said he was arrested at Luton Airport on 30 January and was charged last month.

Ibe appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Friday 6 March, where a trial was fixed for 14 July at the same court. The 30-year-old was granted conditional bail after a 13-minute hearing and told to return for trial.

The winger, from Chislehurst in Bromley, joined Liverpool in 2012 and made 58 first-team appearances before spells with Derby County, Birmingham City and AFC Bournemouth. He played 92 times for Bournemouth between 2016 and 2020.

A former England under-21 international, he now represents Lokomotiv Sofia in Bulgaria’s top division, having moved to the capital in November 2025 after two years in non-league football.
