Former Valencia midfielder Baptiste Santamaría has started brightly in Greece, helping PAOK Thessaloniki advance to the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round with a 5-2 aggregate win over Dynamo Kyiv.

Superdeporte reports that the French midfielder has begun his Greek adventure with success. He scored a superb goal in the 3-2 first-leg win.

Alessio Lisci's side then completed the job at home, winning 2-0 to seal progression. Santamaría started both matches in a double pivot with Christos Zafeiris.

PAOK now face Anderlecht on six and 13 August.

If they overcome the Belgian side, Santamaría and his team-mates must still negotiate one more round to reach the UEFA Europa League group stage.
