The story of Enzo Fernandez’s potential move to Real Madrid is going to dominate this summer, and sources all over Spain are trying to get their own angle on it.
Lesser known paper El Debate today claim that Jorge Mendes is now getting involved to try and smooth over the details of a potentially massive operation.
““The representative of Enzo Fernandez, Javier Pastore, has spoken to Jorge Mendes in order to facilitate the operation and get Chelsea to negotiate with Real Madrid,” journalist Tomas Gonzalez Martin writes.
“Chelsea have asked for €138million and Real Madrid does not want to go over €100 million plus bonuses, or include a player in the operation.”
Mendes is known as a “super agent” with the skills and contacts to get this sort of complex operation done – although at times he’s been persona non-grata both at Chelsea and Madrid.
A €38m in valuation is pretty hefty, but not insurmountable if Madrid can find players Chelsea want to send the other way.
Ashley Cole has recently moved into management, and he had some interesting thoughts on what it would take for Xabi Alonso to succeed at Chelsea.
Robert Sanchez is making demands about his future, and it will make life hard for Chelsea this summer.
