The Tigers are looking to land a loan coup in the form of Mikey Moore
Hull City have joined two Championship rivals in the running to sign Tottenham starlet Mikey Moore on loan, sources have exclusively informed Football League World.
The Tigers survived relegation from the second tier by the skin of their teeth in May, staying up on the final day of the 2024-25 campaign, but head coach Ruben Selles was still sacked by ruthless owner Acun Ilicali a couple of weeks after.
One thing that City didn't have an issue with over the course of the season was signing exciting players, which included the loan coup of Aston Villa's Louie Barry in January, and they're looking to complete another temporary raid this summer for one of England's brightest teenage talents.
FLW has been exclusively told that Hull - under new manager Sergej Jakirovic who has arrived from Kayserispor in Turkiye - are lining up a loan move for Moore this summer.
The East Yorkshire outfit signed multiple new wide players last season, including permanent deals for Liam Millar and Mohamed Belloumi, but both individuals suffered long-term ACL injuries in October and November respectively - both however should be fit and ready to return in the first few months of the new season should they recover at a normal pace.
Abu Kamara is also a full-time option out wide for Jakirovic, but Moore is being eyed up as a player who could bolster Hull's ranks in those areas.
They are not along with their interest in landing the 17-year-old though, as Football Insider reported two weeks ago that both Birmingham City and West Brom - managed by two of Moore's former Spurs coaches in the form of Chris Davies and Ryan Mason - are keen too.
Moore made his Spurs first-team debut in May 2024 when coming off the bench in a Premier League clash with Man City, with that coming after he dominated the under-18's Premier League competition, with 14 goals and eight assists in just 12 appearances at the age of 16.
Promoted to a more prominent role within the senior setup by Ange Postecoglou last season, Moore racked up 19 appearances in all competitions, scoring once in the UEFA Europa League against Elfsborg, but despite his increased game-time, he could head out on loan for regular minutes in 2025-26.
Jakirovic of Hull is the only one of the three managers of the clubs thought to be in the mix for Moore's services, with both West Brom head coach Mason and Birmingham boss Davies being part of Postecoglou's coaching setup when the teen was handed his debut 13 months ago.
