RB Leipzig are interested in a Liverpool wonderkid and it's not just Harvey Elliott.

Over the course of the last decade, Red Bull has become a popular shopping destination for the Reds. Whether it's Michael Edwards, Jorge Schmadtke or Richard Hughes in charge of Liverpool's business in the market, the Reds have always been open to doing business with either of the two European Red Bull clubs - Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig.

It has reaped its rewards, too. Who knows where Liverpool would be right now if it wasn't for the contributions of Dominik Szoboszlai - who arrived from RB Leipzig.

Ibrahima Konate is another, Naby Keita and Takumi Minamino were also additions from Red Bull clubs, who both went onto win multiple trophies at Anfield.

And of course, Sadio Mane, while not directly arriving from Red Bull, had his breakthrough in Salzburg before joining Southampton and ending up at Anfield.

These rich historical ties have been further strengthened with the arrival of Jurgen Klopp as Red Bull's Global Head of Soccer.

The synergy between the two clubs is clear - they both want to be at the forefront of football's evolution, attract good young players and play in a certain way that is encoded into their DNA - high intensity and exciting attacking football.

Klopp's appointment at Red Bull was not really a surprise and since then he has played a key role in helping both RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg through their rebuilds.

He played an important role in convincing Yan Diomande to join RB Leipzig, and a year later the Ivorian is now on the radar of Liverpool. While the Reds, face fear competition from Paris Saint Germain, there are some hopes they could persuade Diomande to come to Anfield.

However, right now there is also an understanding that Diomande feels massively swayed by the allure of joining PSG and linking up with Luis Enrique.

On a personal level, Diomande's father lives in Paris and the prospect of being close to a family member, having had to leave his mother and siblings behind in the Ivory Coast when joining the DME Academy in the US at only 15-years-old, will be another factor in PSG's favour.

But even if Diomande does not arrive on Merseyside, Liverpool could yet still conduct business with Red Bull.

Anfield Watch can exclusively reveal that RB Leipzig have entered the race to sign Trey Nyoni. The German side are among a number of Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Championship teams who are interested in either signing Nyoni permanently or loaning him from Liverpool.

The Reds will be reluctant to sell Nyoni and the plan is for him to go out on loan this summer as he searches for regular game time.

It has been an encouraging but also frustrating campaign for Nyoni, who had played well whenever called-upon and caught the eye but those opportunities were scarce, with Arne Slot having a clear preference for his other midfield options.

Another season of being on the sidelines as he nears 19 years of age is not something Nyoni will be keen to do.

Whether RB Leipzig are able to lure him to Germany remains to be seen. The prospect of joining a team in the Champions League will be of huge appeal and it is believed Nyoni would suit the intensity of Bundesliga football.
