Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie has shared his view on whether Leicester City should stick or twist with Marti Cifuentes
Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie has provided his views on whether Leicester City should bite the bullet and dismiss head coach Marti Cifuentes from his post following a string of poor performances and results, or whether they should give him longer to work his magic.
Leicester City have not had the return to the Championship that many would have expected.
The Foxes have suffered two relegations from the Premier League in three years, with neither Steve Cooper nor Ruud van Nistelrooy able to keep them afloat in the top tier last campaign.
Upon their relegation, Leicester were unable to spend a fee on any permanent transfer over the summer, despite the sales of the likes of Mads Hermansen, James Justin and Kasey McAteer, with the club facing an impending point deduction, having been charged in May with an alleged breach of EFL financial rules
The Foxes brought in 38-year-old goalkeeper Asmir Begovic on a free transfer as the club's only permanent arrival, and signed the likes of Jordan James, Julian Carranza, and Aaron Ramsey on loan, with the club having become reliant on the players already in the squad and youngsters.
It's therefore unsurprising to see them as low as 16th in the Championship table after 18 games, with former Queens Park Rangers head coach Marti Cifuentes coming under fire in his position at the helm at Leicester.
The Spaniard left QPR at the end of last season and landed the Leicester job, but now faces a battle to save his position, with his role with the Foxes now very insecure following two consecutive defeats to Southampton and Sheffield United.

Speaking exclusively to Football League World, Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie has shared his thoughts on whether he thinks that Leicester should be ruthless and dismiss Cifuentes sooner rather than later, or whether they give him the benefit of the doubt and keep him on for longer.
In Hendrie's view, there have been signs of what the ex-QPR boss can do, and sticking with him amid the current situation may be the best decision for the Foxes hierarchy to make.
Hendrie said, "Yeah, I think he was always going to come under pressure at Leicester with the expectation levels, obviously coming out of the Premier League.
"Listen, they've lost a lot of players, and players that they haven't been able to replace through a similar sort of personnel.
"Vardy was a huge player for them over the seasons, consistently. He could sort of win games on his own at times, just out of nothing, but they haven't been able to sort of produce or bring someone in that's similar to that.
"Also, you have to look at the point deduction that's going to hit them as well. So, it's tough.
"I think that Leicester will know that they've got quality in the squad, and it's not good enough at the moment, but I think they have to stick with him.

"They have got a talented squad, but I do feel that sticking with the process and, you know, he has shown signs that they can get, and they will get results.
"But, I just think that the situation they're in, I think they might have to stick with him as well. And I think it will come through."

With just six wins in 18 league matches, Cifuentes has not lit up the King Power Stadium as many Leicester fans would have hoped.
The Spaniard has undoubtedly been dealt a tough hand with the off-field financial issues putting a dark cloud over the club, but the squad he has still possesses undoubted talent.
The likes of Abdul Fatawu, Stephy Mavididi, and Jeremy Monga are available in attack, former Spurs duo Oliver Skipp and Harry Winks in the midfield, and Ricardo Pereira, Wout Faes, and Jannik Vestergaard at the back, Leicester ought to be better off than what they are.
Cifuentes must simply find a way to turn performances and results around as soon as possible; otherwise, he will find himself without a role before too long.
