Wolves could land a windfall this summer if Bastien Meupiyou moves, with a Borussia Dortmund offer said to be worth up to £14.7million. According to ExpressAndStar.com, the bid is £10.4million up front plus £4.3million in add-ons.
Meupiyou, 20, joined Wolves from Nantes in 2024 for around £4.2million but did not make a senior appearance before leaving last summer for Alverca in Portugal.
He has since been a regular at centre-back for the newly promoted side, who finished mid-table in the Portuguese top flight. Alverca have been preparing for offers and believe he could command a club-record fee, surpassing the £7million received for Alex Amorim from Genoa in January.
Wolves inserted a buy-back clause for a small fee, though it is not expected to be activated. Their sell-on deal would return the initial £4.2million, then 50 percent of any profit.
If Dortmund’s offer is accepted, Wolves could receive up to £7.3million from the initial payment, plus a further £2.1million if the add-ons are triggered.
