VAR did not step in for Adam Armstrong's goal for Wolves at Brentford, a decision that prompted debate and left Brentford boss Keith Andrews unhappy with what happened.

Wolves were 2-0 down when Armstrong struck in the 44th minute to halve the deficit, and Tolo Arokodare's second half header later earned Rob Edwards' side a point in a 2-2 draw.

The flashpoint involved Ladislav Krejci, under pressure from Brentford's Dango Ouattara, passing back to Jose Sa, who picked the ball up. No on-field call was made for a back pass, and there was debate over whether Ouattara had touched the ball. VAR did not intervene as the incident, 28 seconds before the goal, was not deemed part of the same attacking phase.

"I think there are enough officials in and around the pitch to identify if it was a back pass or not. The incident made it 2-1 and a very different game." He was speaking to BBC Sport.

Pundits Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry reviewed the moment, with Carragher calling it a back pass and saying Wolves benefited when Sa picked the ball up, while noting there was still a long way to go.
