Extra window closes as eight Série A clubs add 19 signings | OneFootball

The extra period to sign players from state championships closed on Friday, with only eight Série A clubs active and 19 additions across just over 20 days, according to Globo.com.

Remo used the window best, unveiling five signings, forwards Gabriel Poveda and Gabriel Taliari, full backs Matheus Alexandre and Mayk, and midfielder David Braga. They now lead the season’s recruitment with 24 arrivals.

Also back in the top flight, Chapecoense have 18 recruits this year, four in the extra window, forwards Wermeson and Kevin Ramírez, midfielder Da Silva and goalkeeper Matheus Aurélio. The goalkeeper arrived as cover after the starter was sold to Bahia.

Bahia purchased goalkeeper Léo Vieira after Ronaldo’s injury, the latter is expected back only after the World Cup. Léo Vieira has the most saves in the Brasileiro so far, 33 in seven games.

In the relegation zone and without a head coach, Botafogo added two centre backs and two forwards. Ferraresi and Anthony bolster the defence, Caio Roque and Júnior Santos strengthen the attack.

Fluminense moved for midfielder Alisson on loan from São Paulo, and he already has two appearances. São Paulo then took Artur on loan from Botafogo until year end. If an overseas bid arrives, they must either buy 60% of his rights for six million euros, about R$ 36.2 million, or let him leave.
