Paris Saint-Germain will be diminished as they prepare to face RC Lens on Saturday. There was already the double blow during France’s 2-0 win over Ukraine last Friday, as Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué were both struck down by injury. The former will miss six weeks of action, but as per Le Parisien, the latter could make his return by the end of the month.
However, both are, of course, absent for Saturday’s match against Lens. Fabián Ruiz may be absent, too. The midfielder missed the recent international break with Spain having suffered a muscular injury in his left leg. The Spaniard is yet to recover and, as per a report from L’Équipe journalist Loic Tanzi, he was still absent from Les Parisiens’ first-team training session on Thursday.
Ruiz is, therefore, a big doubt to face Les Sang et or. Luis Enrique, himself in the wars over the international break, coming off his bike and fracturing his collar bone, may have to find alternative options in his midfield, as well as in his attack.
