Como and Roma faced off at the Sinigaglia stadium in a crucial Champions League match.

Cesc Fabregas spoke to Sky Sport after the match. The coach praised his players for their performance: “We have quality and variety, which is important when building a team. Games change quickly. I’m happy with the lads’ performance. It wasn’t a deserved result after the penalty. We continued with our identity and mentality.”

Fabregas then focused on a tense moment he had with Gian Piero Gasperini: “In every situation, I’ve always shaken hands with the opposing coach. I think it’s a sporting gesture, out of respect. When I saw him go down the tunnel, I walked away.”

The incident the Spanish coach refers to occurred after Davide Massa’s final whistle. The Giallorossi coach didn’t take kindly to the referee’s decision to send off Wesley and immediately headed to the locker room.

The Spanish coach then pointed his finger at his opponent to indicate his frustration over the moment. Mario Hermoso intervened to calm things down, embracing his opponent and trying to calm him down.
