Fàbregas ‘to consider’ move for 22-year-old Benfica forward Franjo Ivanovic | OneFootball

Como, coached by Cesc Fàbregas, are weighing a move for Benfica striker Franjo Ivanovic as they plan for next season’s Champions League. The Croatia international remains on their shortlist while the club assesses the finances and potential structure of any deal.

Sky Sports Italia reports that Como are also studying Davinson Sánchez, although the Galatasaray centre-back’s high salary could complicate any approach.

To date, Como have not made contact with Benfica or with Ivanovic’s representatives. Interest has not progressed beyond internal discussions and shortlisting.

This is not the first time Como have tracked Ivanovic. They monitored him last summer, but Benfica signed him from Union Saint-Gilloise.

Benfica paid 22.8 million euros, with a further five million in potential add-ons. In his first season in Lisbon, Ivanovic made 42 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing two assists.
