Fabrizio Angileri to miss Corinthians derby with Palmeiras | OneFootball

According to Meu Timao, Corinthians left back Fabrizio Angileri will miss Sunday night’s derby against Palmeiras due to muscle discomfort.

With the Argentine absent, Matheus Bidu is expected to be the only specialist left back named for the Dérbi.

Angileri started the 1-0 home defeat to Internacional at the Neo Química Arena last Sunday. Since rejoining the club at the start of 2026, he has made five appearances, three of them from the start.

He first signed in 2025 on a one-season deal. With no agreement over an extension, he became a free agent until mid February, when Corinthians arranged his return.

In the academy, Guilherme Pires and João Vitor can cover the role, but they are not expected to be involved. Hugo Farias remains sidelined as he recovers from arthroscopy on his right knee.

Corinthians sit 16th in the Brasileirão, the first side outside the relegation zone. After 10 matches, they have two wins, four draws and four defeats. A positive result in the clássico could ease pressure and lift them in the table.
