Fabrizio Romano issues Amad Diallo update amid Newcastle United interest | OneFootball

Fabrizio Romano said Manchester United told Amad Diallo’s camp in June they had no intention to sell this summer and that, despite interest from several clubs including Newcastle United, they want to keep and trust the winger.

That stance would make any switch to St James’ Park extremely difficult, with United viewing the 24-year-old as part of their plans.

Diallo remains hugely popular on Wearside after an impressive loan spell with Sunderland in 2022-23.

He scored 14 goals in all competitions as Tony Mowbray’s side reached the Championship play-offs, delivering several memorable moments and becoming a fans’ favourite.

Since returning to Manchester, he has steadily grown into a regular first-team option. For now, a move appears remote given United’s current position.
