Romano Dismisses Alonso Approach Claims

“There were many rumours on Liverpool making contact with Alonso coming from Germany, but I can guarantee that Liverpool this year never made any direct approach with Alonso or with his agents.”

Those words matter because Romano rarely speaks in absolutes unless confidence inside the club is strong. Liverpool may be enduring frustration, but internally there appears no appetite for another managerial reset.

Liverpool Season Leaves Lingering Doubts
