Fabrizio Romano: Liverpool Could Turn to PSG Forward This Summer

Liverpool’s need for recruitment in the summer went up a notch when Mohamed Salah confirmed he would leave the club at the end of the season.

The Egyptian King has become an icon at the club since his arrival back in 2017 and the void he will leave will be massive.

With one game still remaining, Liverpool’s succession planning is already in full swing. Fabrizio Romano has already revealed that they are in ‘active talks’ with the agents of RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande.

But Diomande wasn’t the only name mentioned by Romano in his recent transfer update…

Bradley Barcola to Liverpool?

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano revealed that Liverpool could turn to PSG forward Bradley Barcola as an option this summer.

“Don’t forget the name of Bradley Barcola. Liverpool really appreciate Barcola, as I said in August 2025, but they were obviously busy with the move for Alexander Isak and they had already spent a lot of money,” said Romano.

“But Barcola is still not signing a new contract at PSG as of now, so I would say in case Diomande decided to go to PSG, then Barcola could be a serious option for Liverpool,” continued Romano.

“There are also interest from Arsenal as they want to add an offensive player. But Barcola is an option for Liverpool, for sure,” said Romano.

As Romano points out, Liverpool were heavily interested in a move for Barcola last year and they could reignite their interest in the Frenchman this summer.

The 23-year-old has struggled to consistently break into PSG’s world-class front three of Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue. Although, he has still managed thirteen goals and six assists across all competitions this season.

It certainly seems that Barcola and Diomande are the two names at the top of Liverpool’s shortlist this summer and both would be seen as a major signing for Arne Slot’s side. With the transfer window upon us, we could find out the answer to Liverpool’s attacking problems sooner rather than later.
