Tottenham Hotspur are in for a busy few days ahead, with the club reportedly set to bolster their defence before the transfer window slams shut.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are planning to sign at least one centre-back, but there is even a chance they could land two before the deadline.
While the club has shown promising signs in other areas of the pitch, their defence has been a point of concern this season.
Injuries have plagued key players, leaving Tottenham’s backline exposed at crucial moments.
With their Premier League ambitions at stake, Spurs are now looking to reinforce this vulnerable area of their squad.

During their Europa League clash against IF Elfsborg, Dragusin was forced off shortly after coming on, following the return of Micky van de Ven.
While Van de Ven’s return was a welcome boost for Tottenham, Dragusin’s setback has raised alarms in the Tottenham camp.
According to Football London, manager Ange Postecoglou hinted at the need for further defensive reinforcements, should the injury prove to be long-term.
"I think depending on the extent of Radu’s injury, it might be an area we need to look at and certainly this weekend, we are exploring some options," said Postecoglou, indicating that Tottenham are now actively assessing potential targets.
Fabrizio Romano, a well-respected football journalist, has since reported that Tottenham are working on bringing in at least one centre-back, possibly two, in the final days of the transfer window.
"Tottenham internally feel that Radu Dragusin’s knee injury could be serious, at least one and eventually two centre back will be joining in the final days," Romano revealed on social media.
While reports initially linked Tottenham with a move for AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori, it now appears that this pursuit has stalled.
Tomori has opted to stay with the Serie A giants, meaning Spurs are now exploring other options.
One name that has emerged in the rumour mill is Chelsea’s Axel Disasi. Tottenham have joined the race for the French international, whose impressive performances for Chelsea have caught the eye of several top clubs.
With Dragusin potentially sidelined for an extended period, securing a defender could prove pivotal in Tottenham’s hopes for silverware this season.
As the transfer deadline looms, all eyes will be on Tottenham as they work to bolster their defensive options in the final days of the window.
