Manchester United are ready to put their foot down and sanction one player’s exit amidst his dilly-dallying over his future.

Indeed, Jadon Sancho is biding his time when making a decision on his next suitor in hopes of one club coming along and meeting his extortionate wage demands.

While he has garnered interest from the likes of Napoli, Juventus and Fenerbahce, none are willing to match what he currently earns with United: a reported £300,000 per week.

You’d struggle to find any period at all throughout Sancho’s post-Borussia Dortmund career that has warranted such a salary, which reflects poorly on both him and United for being foolish enough to grant him such terms in the first place.

He was 21 years old at the time he swapped the Signal Iduna Park for Old Trafford and had no previous first-team experience on his CV, having gone straight from Manchester City’s youth ranks to Dortmund in 2017. Why United then felt the need to make him one of their highest-paid players, we’ll never know.

Now, after a lacklustre United tenure and a season-long loan spell with Chelsea that left much to be desired, it remains to be seen where Sancho will look to take his exploits next.

Who’s interested in Sancho?

According to Fabrizio Romano (via GiveMeSport), both Juventus and Napoli have contacted the Red Devils to gauge the feasibility of a deal for the outcast in recent days, but are being deterred from making an official offer until he lowers his financial expectations.

Fenerbahce, managed by former United boss Jose Mourinho, have ‘called’ to check in on Sancho’s situation, although they, too, are reluctant to submit a bid.

INEOS chiefs are adamant that Sancho is to be sold permanently this summer as opposed to another loan, with his contract due to expire in June 2026.

They want the situation resolved ‘in the next few weeks’, as Ruben Amorim’s squad is expected to report back for pre-season training on July 7.
