Chelsea have added Facundo Buonanotte to their Champions League squad following an injury to Dário Essugo.
Buonanotte joined the Blues late in the transfer window on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion to help cover for Cole Palmer. However, Chelsea's big squad meant that there was no space for the Argentinian in Chelsea's Champions League squad.
That has changed now with the news that midfielder Essugo will be out with injury picked up during the international break that will keep the 20-year-old out for around 12 weeks.
Facundo Buonanotte made his Chelsea debut at the weekend when he started in the 2-2 draw away to Brentford before being replaced at half-time.
Enzo Maresca's side kicked off their Champions League campaign on Wednesday with a difficult trip to face German champions Bayern Munich.
