Facundo Buonanotte, Ricardo Pereira, De Cordova-Reid injury updates

Sadly for sinking Leicester City, the bad news continues to pile up like leaves on a particularly breezy autumn day. Plenty of City stars might be lazing around, basking in the glorious British sunshine at present. That's because a host of Foxes are unfortunately and suddenly now injured. Not that fitness news matters much for the East Midlanders at this point of a dreadful and failed season.

Even results are technically now unimportant with LCFC already relegated before the campaign actually ends. Though performances do have significance or consequence: the side must gain momentum or a semblance of team spirit ahead of 2025/26. It must be the case that the only way is up for us now, I hope.

And naturally Leicester head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy still has to select a few starting lineups before he is surely and inevitably sacked come the end of the campaign. But LCFC's gaffer, who seems absolutely out of his depth, has quite a few unavailable Foxes at the moment. This also means certain undesirable back-up and auxiliary personnel will be deployed. But prospects may also get a run out.

So let's hear the latest news on Stephy Mavididi, Facundo Buonanotte, Ricardo Pereira, De Cordova-Reid and long-term absentee Abdul Fatawu.

Injury updates on plethora of Leicester City players

First of all, as far as I can tell, Fatawu won't be seen until the start of the upcoming term. Hopefully the winger returns for most, or all of, the offseason to gain match fitness.

Mavididi, however, isn't expected to play again this season. Ricardo is also now a doubt to feature by the end of May.

Return-to-play protocol could see Buonanotte miss the Southampton and Nottingham Forest fixtures. The Argentine suffered a concussion.
