Famalicão forward Yassir Zabiri set for Rennes in €10 million move | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, Famalicão forward Yassir Zabiri is set to join Rennes for around €10 million, with a further €2 million due if objectives are met.

The Ligue 1 club, currently sixth, have tracked the 20-year-old for several months. He is expected to travel soon to undergo a medical and sign. Benfica had him on their radar.

Rui Costa knew negotiations would be extremely difficult. Although the fee stands at €10 million, Famalicão were demanding a significantly higher sum to let him join a Liga Portugal Betclic rival.

His stock surged after a standout Under-20 World Cup. He helped Morocco win the trophy and was named player of the tournament, scoring five goals.

This season for Famalicão he has made 14 appearances, 12 in the league and two in the Taça de Portugal, totalling 755 minutes, and has scored four goals.

Zabiri came through Marrakech then the Mohammed VI Academy. He is valued at €4 million and is under contract with Famalicão until June 2028.
