Fans queue for FIFA shop at New York Stadium despite €48 scarves and €114 basic shirts | OneFootball

According to L'ÉEquipe, FIFA has opened shops across host cities and stadiums at this World Cup, and the New York Stadium branch drew heavy demand before France-Sweden.

One hour before kick-off, after security checks, a queue of more than 200 metres formed on the forecourt.

It was not to enter the ground, nor for a refreshment stand, where queues were also long, but to access the FIFA store inside.

Supporters waited for tens of minutes just to get through the door.

Inside, a broad range of merchandise was on offer. Prices included 48 euros for a scarf and 114 for a basic shirt, and the cost did not put visitors off.
