Farioli reacts to Maniche message and praises Vítor Pereira in UEFA video | OneFootball

According to O Jogo, Francesco Farioli has reacted to a motivational message from FC Porto great Maniche in a UEFA video ahead of Thursday’s Europa League quarter-final first leg against Nottingham Forest at Estádio do Dragão, kick-off 20:00.

Nottingham Forest are coached by Portuguese manager Vítor Pereira, who will return to the Dragão.

In the clip, the former Portugal international, a UEFA Cup winner with Porto in 2002/03 a year before the Champions League, described the Dragão as a fortress. He recalled the team’s grit and trophy haul, noted talents such as Rodrigo Mora, and urged the squad to remember they are the Dragons.

Farioli called it a powerful message from a great player and a true club legend.

He later spoke about his roots, the mix of experience and youth in his squad, and the challenge ahead. He said Porto must show their best against a very competitive side since Vítor Pereira arrived. He added he feels privileged to work at a club with deep history and an identity that mirrors his past.
